BILLIE's story
Hi there, my name is Billie! I am a 7-year-old Havanese/Poodle mix, a bit of a fancy pants, and I love to strut my stuff! I am a sweet but misunderstood guy who deserves a fresh start with the right home for me. I was returned to the shelter by my second family and came to live in foster so that my friends could learn more about me and help me to find the home that will finally be my forever fit.
Billie`s forever home should be adult only, no children in the home or as guests as he has a history with them that has caused him to become fearful. He finds a lot of activity to be very stimulating, so the home should be a peaceful environment without a lot of visitors coming and going. Over time he may improve in this area with work. He has lived successfully in foster with other dogs as well as cats, but we feel that he would be happiest in a home where he is the only dog. His family should have previous small dog experience and an understanding of how sometimes big guys can sometimes come in small packages! Billie requires a moderate amount of exercise, a few short walks a day and/or some playtime in the yard will suffice for him. Billie does not need a fenced in yard, though he would love one, but he does need to be kept on leash for walks and adventures outside of a fenced in yard. Billie is a dog with a coat type that requires brushing at home and regular visits to the groomers about once every 6 weeks, his family must be willing and able to provide this for him. What Billie needs most is a best friend to love him, snuggle him, and give him the time and attention he deserves. In return you will truly have a Best Friend Forever!
I am in a foster home so if you would like to meet me e-mail SOneill@beavercountyhumanesociety.org
